Smith Grind Coffee Co. is a coffee shop and bean seller located in the heart of Pacific Beach, San Diego. Born from the surfing and skateboarding cultures of the 70’s, SGCC has a laid back Southern Californian vibe, irreverent style and is located within a skateboard shop that has been a community staple for 30 years.
Project Brief
This project focused on creating a brand identity for SGCC and applying that branding to all the things a coffee shop needs; bags of beans, cups, drink sleeves, napkins, merch, etc. The name Smith Grind comes from the owner’s last name and the association of grinding with coffee beans, but is also the name of a skateboard trick which is depicted in the design.
